Fred Couples to compete in 2025 Masters Tournament

Fred Couples, a 65-year-old former champion of the Masters Tournament, will play in this year's event. Although Couples knows he may not compete against younger players like Viktor Hovland or Jon Rahm, he has personal goals to achieve. He aims to make the cut again this year, having previously set a record as the oldest player to do so in 2023, when he was 63. Couples is one of only four former champions from the 1990s still participating at Augusta, alongside Bernhard Langer, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Tiger Woods. Langer has announced that 2025 would be his last year. Couples hopes to leave his mark this year, drawing on his memorable 1992 win at the Masters, where he took home the title after strong final rounds.
