A new adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo" is coming to theaters. This thrilling movie will be released on April 10, 2025. It is directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière. Pierre Niney stars as Edmond Dantès, the young sailor who faces betrayal and seeks revenge. The story is set in Marseille in 1815. Dantès is excited to become a ship's captain and marry his love, Mercedès. However, jealous rivals falsely accuse him of being involved in a conspiracy. He is sent to prison without trial. In prison, he meets Abbé Faria, who tells him about a hidden treasure. Dantès plans his revenge against the men who betrayed him. He takes on different identities, including "the Count of Monte Cristo." The film has a running time of 178 minutes and is rated M.
