Free TRICARE ECHO webinar for military support professionals

A free webinar titled "TRICARE ECHO Demystified" will take place on April 2 from 10 to 11 a.m. This online event, organized by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp, is aimed at military support professionals. Participants can register through a specific website to receive a confirmation email and a link to join the session. The webinar will explain the TRICARE Extended Care Health Option (ECHO). This program is designed to support individuals with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, serious physical disabilities, or exceptional psychological conditions. Attendees will learn about eligibility, covered services, and the enrollment process. The goal is to help them assist families in accessing these important benefits. Carmen DeLeon, RN, will lead the session. She is the director for case management and special needs programs at the Defense Health Agency. DeLeon has extensive experience working with military families and various health organizations. Participants will also have the chance to earn continuing education units (CEUs) in multiple areas, including family and consumer sciences and financial counseling. The webinar aims to enhance collaboration between military support personnel and TRICARE case managers, ensuring better support for military families.
