In Karnataka, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has tested 163 paneer samples for quality issues. This action follows concerns raised by media reports and social media about possible adulteration in paneer. On March 3, the Chief Minister's office asked the FSSAI to investigate the quality of paneer to protect public health. The Commissioner of FSSAI, Srinivas K., started the testing process and sent samples to a special lab. As of March 17, results revealed that four samples were safe and free from adulteration. Testing for the remaining samples is ongoing. Once all results are in, the FSSAI plans to take appropriate action if needed.
