G7 condemns Russia's deployment of North Korean troops in Ukraine conflict
The G7 has criticized Russia for deploying thousands of North Korean troops to support its war in Ukraine, calling it a "desperate effort" to recover losses. This marks the first direct combat between Ukraine and North Korean soldiers. Kyiv reported clashes with North Korean forces in the Kursk region, which has been partially occupied by Ukraine since August. The G7 described this involvement as a "dangerous expansion of the conflict." The G7 foreign ministers condemned the military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, expressing concern over potential transfers of nuclear or missile technology. They emphasized the seriousness of North Korea's support for Russia's actions in Ukraine.
