Gainesville restaurant's business surged after TV appearance

A Gainesville business, Fehrenbacher’s Meats & Eats, is experiencing a surge in customers after being featured on Guy Fieri's Food Network show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The episode aired on March 14 and highlighted dishes such as "The Intimidator" sausage sandwich and the "Lamb Mediterranean" sandwich. Owner Adam Fehrenbacher reported positive effects from the exposure. He noted that an out-of-town couple traveled an hour and a half to visit after seeing the show. Fehrenbacher expressed his gratitude for the publicity, saying it is fantastic for small businesses. Guy Fieri provided advice on growing a small business, which Fehrenbacher appreciated. The opportunity came after the restaurant was selected from multiple local eateries by Citizen Productions, following a lengthy interview process. Fehrenbacher is pleased with the attention from the show, although he is unsure how they found out about his delis. He emphasizes that all the sausages are made in-house, using original recipes. The popularity of Fehrenbacher’s is expected to continue as more Gainesville restaurants are featured in upcoming episodes of the show.
