Galaxy S22 receives March 2025 security update in Europe

Samsung has begun rolling out the March 2025 security update for the Galaxy S22 series. This update is available for users in European countries and South Korea. The update aims to enhance device security by fixing various security issues found in previous software versions. It applies to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra models. In Europe, the firmware version for the update is S90xBXXSDEYB1. In South Korea, the version is S90xNKSS7EYB3. Users in these regions can check for the new update through their device settings by going to Settings, then Software update, and selecting Download and install. For those who prefer, it is also possible to install the firmware manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool, if they have the correct firmware file. Samsung may release this update in other regions, such as Asia, Latin America, North America, and Oceania, in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, users waiting for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update should be aware it might take at least a month to arrive for the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung plans to start rolling out One UI 7.0 on April 7, but the Galaxy S22 devices are not part of the initial release list.
