Gangster Lovish Grover arrested in Mohali shooting encounter

A gangster from Ludhiana, Lovish Grover, was arrested after a police encounter in Zirakpur on Friday night. He was wanted for several serious crimes. During the encounter, Grover was shot in the leg. Police received a tip-off about Grover hiding in a flat on VIP Road. Officers raided the third-floor flat around 9:15 p.m. When they knocked on the door, Grover first answered but quickly tried to shut it upon seeing the police. He then fired at them, forcing the police to return fire, hitting him in the leg. After apprehending Grover, officers found three guns, including a Glock pistol and a rifle, along with ammunition, in the flat. Grover is already facing multiple charges, including murder and attempted murder. The investigation is ongoing. This incident follows another recent police encounter with gangster Navjot Singh, who was also shot in the leg while trying to evade capture in New Chandigarh.
