Gauri Khan collaborates with Sussanne Khan in Hyderabad
Gauri Khan has launched a new interior design store in Hyderabad, partnering with Sussanne Khan’s The Charcoal Project. This collaboration introduces Gauri Khan Designs on the third floor of the store, featuring luxury furniture and home accessories. The new collection includes custom-made screens, hand-painted wallpapers, and stylish lighting for living rooms and bedrooms. Gauri hopes to make high-quality Indian craftsmanship more accessible through this project. She emphasizes that most of the items are designed and crafted in India, highlighting local artisans. Gauri Khan's interest in design grew after she renovated her home, Mannat, in Mumbai. She aims to blend contemporary styles with influences from around the world while catering to Indian tastes. The store's display focuses on muted colors, enhanced by creative lighting elements that Gauri believes can dramatically change a space. She also highlights the important role of mirrors in her designs, describing how they can add elegance and openness to interiors. This Hyderabad location is the second Gauri Khan Designs store, following one in Mumbai. While there are no immediate plans for a standalone store in Hyderabad, Gauri is considering an experience center in Delhi in the future.
