According to the Michigan State Police, 35-year-old James Dash attempted to enter a home by kicking the front door after knocking and receiving no answer. He was reportedly violating a personal protection order at the time. When police arrived, Dash had already fled the scene. Troopers found his footprints in the snow leading into nearby woods. They later discovered him hiding behind a tree. After a brief struggle, law enforcement was able to arrest Dash.
