Geoffrey Deuel, actor known for Billy the Kid role, dies at 81

Geoffrey Deuel, known for his role as Billy the Kid in the film "Chisum," has died at 81. He passed away in hospice care in Largo, Florida, after battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, as confirmed by his wife. Deuel had a prolific television career from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, appearing in numerous shows. He was the younger brother of actor Peter Duel, who died in 1971. Born in New York in 1943, Deuel moved to Hollywood in 1965. He later earned a master’s degree and worked as a substitute teacher while performing in local plays. He is survived by his wife and sister.
