George Clooney's play "Good Night and Good Luck" will open on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre on April 3, 2025. Previews will begin on March 12, 2025. Clooney will make his Broadway debut as journalist Edward R. Murrow. The play is based on the 2005 film that Clooney co-wrote and directed. It depicts Murrow's confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy over anti-communist reporting. David Cromer, a Tony Award winner, will direct the production. "Good Night and Good Luck" will replace "Back to the Future," which ends its run on January 5, 2025.
