George G. Wickert, 79, has passed away

George G. Wickert, aged 79, has passed away. He was a beloved husband to Anne O'Reilly and a caring father to Bridget and Kevin. He took great pride in being a grandpa to Aiden, Duncan, and step-grandchildren, including Kaitlyn and Nick. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald and Ralph, as well as many friends and family members. George had been preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean Wickert, and his sister Carol. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until prayers start at 11:00 AM at Modell Funeral Home. This will be followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church at 11:30 AM. He will be laid to rest at Clarendon Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a favorite charity.
