German scientist Dr. Jan Mayer advises Rajasthan United players
Jaipur: The players of Rajasthan United Football Club (RUFC) had an inspiring evening with Dr. Jan Mayer, a prominent German sports scientist, on Friday. Dr. Mayer is the managing director of TSG Hoffenheim, a well-known Bundesliga club in Germany. He is visiting Jaipur with a delegation to discuss a partnership with RUFC. Dr. Mayer has over 20 years of experience in sports psychology, coaching top athletes and national teams. Since joining TSG Hoffenheim in 2008, he has focused on innovation and player development. The club is recognized for its unique approach, utilizing data and psychological factors to assess players. RUFC, currently ranked fifth in the I-League Football tournament, is planning to sign a five-year agreement with TSG Hoffenheim. The partnership aims to enhance player development, improve coaching programs, and facilitate player exchanges for mutual benefit. "Our discussions today were very promising," said KK Tak, the chairman of RUFC. He believes that collaboration with TSG Hoffenheim will significantly raise the standard of football in Rajasthan. The partnership will allow RUFC players and coaches to train in Germany while bringing top German players to Jaipur. The meeting also featured Dietmar Beiersdorfer, a former German football player and current managing director at FC Ingolstadt 04. Several other key figures from the German football community were present, showcasing the strong interest in developing football in India.
