Ghanaian woman arrested for drug smuggling at KIA
Officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence arrested a woman from Ghana at Kempegowda International Airport on Wednesday. She was found with 3.1 kilograms of cocaine. The street value of the drugs is about ₹38 crore. The woman had just arrived from Doha. Officials caught her based on her travel history and profile. During a search, they discovered the drugs concealed in her body. Authorities believe she was acting as a mule for an international drug smuggling operation. She was expected to hand over the drugs to a person waiting for her outside the airport.
