Ghaziabad police haven't acted against BJP MLA's procession
Ghaziabad police have not yet taken action against BJP MLA Nandkishor Gurjar after a clash with police during a religious event in Loni. The incident occurred during the "Kalash Yatra," a procession to celebrate the start of the Ram Katha, a public recitation of the Ramcharitmanas. Thousands participated in the procession, which took place along a 4km route on Thursday. Police stated that there are prohibitory orders in place until April 2, which require permission for any religious events. However, Gurjar and his supporters went ahead with the procession without the necessary approval. After the event, Gurjar held a press conference, making several accusations against police officers. He insisted that police were responsible for the tension and claimed they physically assaulted him while he was carrying a religious text. Gurjar, who is now in his second term as the MLA, said he was treated poorly during the procession and has vowed to continue fighting for justice. He also claimed that some police officials are trying to harm him. Despite his claims, police officials have not confirmed any allegations made by Gurjar and have yet to file a report concerning the events on Thursday. The deputy commissioner of police stated that they will provide updates if legal action is initiated. This incident is not the first clash between Gurjar and police, as he was previously involved in protests against police orders that affected street vendors in Ghaziabad.
