Gir Somnath police raid illegal gambling den, detain 55

Local police in Gir Somnath conducted a raid on a resort near Sangodar village on Sunday. They discovered an illegal gambling operation taking place there. The resort manager was found to be helping the gambling activities. During the raid, officers detained 55 people. They also confiscated a large amount of money totaling Rs 28.54 lakh, along with 15 luxury cars and 70 mobile phones. The total value of the items seized is estimated to be Rs 2.34 crore. Police inspector Arvindsinh Jadeja reported that the resort manager has three criminal cases pending against him. A case has been officially registered at the Talala police station. In addition to the gambling charges, police also found bottles of liquor, which could lead to further legal trouble under the Prohibition Act.
