The Goa government has formed a committee to investigate a paper leak at Goa University. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant ordered the inquiry on Thursday. A retired high court judge, Justice R M S Khandeparkar, will lead the four-member committee. The inquiry comes after serious allegations surfaced about a faculty member leaking an exam question paper. The committee will work quickly to submit a report, according to a government statement. Alongside Justice Khandeparkar, the team includes former DIG Bosco George, former registrar Radhika Nayak, and professor M R K Prasad as member secretary. Recent reports indicate that activists, led by Kashinath Shetye, filed a complaint with the police. They claimed a male faculty member had shared a question paper with a female student. In response to the allegations, the vice-chancellor of Goa University, Harilal B Menon, suspended the faculty member pending the inquiry. The university also formed a fact-finding committee, which completed its report and submitted it to the Goa governor, P S Sreedharan Pillai. The inquiry committee will receive administrative support and office space from Goa University.
