Goa Post to open new parcel hub in Porvorim
The Goa department of posts plans to build a new parcel hub in Porvorim. This hub aims to speed up mail and parcel delivery within the region. It will be located at the postal colony and is expected to be finished in three months. The hub will handle collection, sorting, and transmission of parcels and mail. It will operate 24 hours a day to improve efficiency. Currently, ordinary posts, speed posts, and both domestic and foreign parcels are processed separately, causing delays. By processing all types of mail at the same location, the new hub will streamline operations. This change will help reduce mistakes and make delivery times faster. The goal is to have a central sorting place to send parcels quickly to designated areas in Goa. Additionally, the hub will feature a foreign post office. This will simplify sending and receiving parcels from other countries. The project is designed to enhance overall delivery services in Goa.
