Goa to enhance ports and tourism through new projects

Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant spoke at a meeting in New Delhi on March 19, 2025. The meeting was for the National Sagarmala Apex Committee, led by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Sawant emphasized that the development of coastal communities is a priority. Efforts will focus on skills training, financial support, and economic growth. He mentioned the exploration of new services, including Ro-Ro ferry services and a Water Metro. Overall, these initiatives are part of a broader aim to enhance development linked to ports and improve export opportunities as envisioned by the Prime Minister.
