Goa University professor suspended for alleged exam leak
Goa University suspended an assistant professor of Physics on March 17 for allegedly leaking an exam question paper to a female student. The Vice Chancellor ordered a fact-finding committee to investigate the claims within 48 hours. The Vice Chancellor, Harilal B Menon, stated that no formal complaint about a leaked paper had been received. He noted that the professor claimed he entered a colleague's cabin for academic purposes and offered an apology if any misunderstanding occurred. The police have not yet registered a formal complaint, but the National Students Union of India has filed one. Meanwhile, the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad protested outside the Vice Chancellor's office, demanding an inquiry.
