Goa's professional degree admissions begin mid-May 2025

The admission process for professional degree programs in Goa for the 2025-26 academic year will start in mid-May. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) plans to open applications after the second Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) have taken place. Officials said the JEE is scheduled for April, while NEET will be held in the first week of May. They want to avoid disturbing students during their exam preparations. This year, Goa’s Class XII exams were conducted earlier, and results are expected sooner than usual, but the admission process will not change. In 2024, student admissions for engineering and pharmacy programs switched to using JEE and NEET scores, instead of a local state test. Additionally, the admission process for postgraduate health programs, such as physiotherapy at Goa Medical College, has not yet started. The college has requested that the DTE handle these admissions moving forward.
