Golden Ace wins Champion Hurdle; favorites fall

Golden Ace won the Unibet Champion Hurdle at 25/1 after favorites Constitution Hill and State Man both fell during the race. Golden Ace finished nine lengths ahead of Burdett Road and Winter Fog. Constitution Hill fell at the fourth-last hurdle, while State Man fell at the final flight. Brighterdaysahead, the second favorite, struggled after being hampered. Trained by Jeremy Scott, Golden Ace previously won the Mares' Novices' Hurdle. The decision to enter the Champion Hurdle was debated, but owner Ian Gosden pushed for the opportunity.
