Gondia police charge families for child marriage

The MIDC police have filed charges against five people in Gondia for a child marriage event. One of the individuals is a 17-year-old girl who got married on February 19. The complaint was made by Haushilal Patle, a gram sevak and child marriage prohibition officer. He learned about the marriage through a tip and conducted an inquiry. His investigation confirmed the involvement of Mahendra, the young man who married the girl, along with his parents and the girl's parents. After confirming the details, Patle contacted the police. This led to the case being officially registered. Reports indicate that this might be Mahendra's second marriage.
