Google Docs introduces 'Help me create' feature powered by Gemini AI

Google Docs has introduced a new feature called "Help me create," powered by its AI tool, Gemini. This feature allows users to generate fully formatted documents by attaching files from their Google Drive, marking a significant upgrade from the existing "Help me write" feature. Unlike "Help me write," which only refines existing drafts, "Help me create" can utilize Workspace files. However, it does not retain the original structure or style of those files. The feature is accessible through a prompt at the top of the screen or via the File menu. Currently, "Help me create" is available only in the web version of Google Docs and is part of the Gemini for Google Workspace Alpha and Workspace Labs programs. It is being rolled out gradually and will only work in new, blank documents.
