Google introduces AI email drafting tool in Gmail for web users
Google has launched the "Help me write" feature for Gmail on the web, allowing users to create and edit emails with AI suggestions. This feature is similar to one already available on mobile devices. Access to "Help me write" is limited to Google One AI Premium subscribers and users with the Gemini add-on for Google Workspace. The tool helps users draft emails and offers options to formalize or shorten messages. Additionally, a new "polish" shortcut will help refine drafts with over 12 words. This replaces the "Refine my draft" option on mobile. The rollout of these features begins today and will be available gradually.
