Google's AI excels in math, solving complex problems

Summary: Google's AI unit, DeepMind, introduced two new models, AlphaProof and AlphaGeometry 2, which excelled in solving complex math problems. At the 2024 International Math Olympiad, these systems solved four out of six questions, marking the highest performance by an AI in the competition's history. AlphaProof tackled three problems, including the hardest one, solved by only five of over 600 human participants.
