Critics pointed out the contradiction, reminding them that they previously criticized other companies like Bud Light and Disney for their political stances. Tesla is struggling against increasing competition, especially from Chinese electric vehicle makers. Analysts note that Musk's connection to Trump and far-right groups has affected the brand's popularity. Tesla showrooms in the U.S. have seen protests, and some owners have put bumper stickers on their cars to distance themselves from Musk's controversies. As a result of these struggles, Tesla's shares have dropped significantly this year. In March 2025, the stock fell to $222.15, its lowest point since October 2023.
