Gopal Devanahalli appointed president of Wadhwani skilling initiatives

Wadhwani Foundation has named Gopal Devanahalli as its new president of skilling. He will be responsible for leading skilling programs worldwide. Devanahalli brings over 30 years of experience in various industries, including IT, healthcare, and education. Before joining Wadhwani, Devanahalli worked at Manipal Education & Medical Group as the group president of strategy and business development. He has also served as CEO at MeritTrac and Manipal Education Americas. Devanahalli emphasizes the importance of skilling in today’s job market, saying it is vital for economic growth. He is eager to work with global partners to create effective skilling programs that offer meaningful opportunities. He holds a postgraduate diploma from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and has an MSc in computer science from BITS, Pilani. He also completed a corporate director program at Harvard Business School. Ajay Kela will continue to lead the Wadhwani Innovation Network and its centers of excellence while Devanahalli focuses on skilling initiatives.
