Gorayeb aims for Capital1 to build on last conference's success in PVL All-Filipino Conference
MANILA, Philippines — Coach Roger Gorayeb is optimistic about Capital1's performance in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, following a successful run with Russian import Marina Tushova in the previous tournament. He emphasized the need for the team to improve without their key player. Tushova significantly boosted Capital1's scoring, setting multiple records, including a 50-point game. With her departure, Gorayeb is urging his players to step up and take on leadership roles to maintain their competitive edge. The conference will last six months, featuring a series of rounds and playoffs. Gorayeb aims to build a strong team culture and hopes to achieve a championship while developing the players' skills for higher-level competition. Capital1's first match is against Chery Tiggo on Tuesday.
