Gordon Elliott anticipates strong performance from Brighterdaysahead

Gordon Elliott is optimistic about his horse, Brighterdaysahead, competing in the Unibet Champion Hurdle at the 2025 Cheltenham Festival. The mare has won her last two races against State Man and will challenge Constitution Hill on Tuesday. Brighterdaysahead has only lost once in ten races, which Elliott attributes to a mistake he made last year. He believes she has a strong cruising speed and can perform well over two miles. Meanwhile, State Man, the defending champion, is back after winning the Irish Champion Hurdle. Trainer Willie Mullins has added cheekpieces to help him focus. Golden Ace, who previously beat Brighterdaysahead, will also compete in the Champion Hurdle after recovering from a minor injury.
