The Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, has made a strong statement about the dangers of Karachi's dumper trucks. He said that if he gets control of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Karachi for one week and a dumper-related accident happens, he will resign. Speaking to a crowd in Hyderabad, Tessori expressed his concern over the rising number of accidents involving dumpers. He said that these vehicles are harming children and endangering lives in the community. He also mentioned that he could quickly improve Karachi's roads if the Mayor were under his supervision. Tessori proposed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party should merge with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) to create more stability in Sindh. He criticized delays in IT education in Hyderabad, revealing frustrations about incomplete courses that have not progressed for months. The governor highlighted social welfare initiatives at the Governor House, which include daily Iftar meals during Ramadan. He mentioned distributing over 1 million ration bags and more than 12,000 laptops without charging the community. Tessori warned that outside forces aim to weaken the people of Sindh. He referenced a recent traffic accident in which a couple were killed by a speeding vehicle, underscoring the dangers of heavy vehicles in the city. This tragic event brought the number of traffic-related deaths in Karachi for the year to 214.
