Grand Canyon wins WAC Tournament, defeating Utah Valley
Grand Canyon University defeated Utah Valley 89-82 in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament final. Ray Harrison led the Lopes with 18 points, helping secure their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Grand Canyon, the No. 2 seed, improved to 26-7, while Utah Valley, the top seed, ended its season at 25-8. This was Utah Valley's first championship game appearance after winning the regular season title. The game featured a strong performance from Tanner Toolson, who scored 28 points for Utah Valley. Despite a strong start, the Wolverines could not overcome Grand Canyon's second-half lead.
