Great Lakes Sound & Vibration to expand in Michigan with $8.5 million investment
Great Lakes Sound & Vibration will expand its facility in Houghton County with an $8.5 million investment to support U.S. Department of Defense projects. The expansion will create 42 jobs and consolidate operations under one roof. Michigan awarded the company a $400,000 grant for this project. The expansion will enhance their capabilities in providing acoustic and vibration solutions for military vehicles and equipment. Additionally, Loukus Technologies received a $300,000 grant for its $1.6 million investment in Calumet, which will create 90 jobs. Both companies are contributing to the growth of Michigan's defense industry.
