Gudalur MLA opposes eco park relocation from constituency

An eco park is planned for the Race Course grounds in Udhagamandalam, according to Minister for Agriculture M.R.K. Panneerselvam. He announced this proposal in the Assembly. The decision to move the park from Devala was made because the original site is in a protected forest area. The Union government has allocated ₹70 crore for the project. However, AIADMK legislator Pon. Jayaseelan, who represents Gudalur, expressed his concern. He asked the State government not to move the eco park outside his constituency. Jayaseelan stated that many residents in his area were looking forward to the park. He also mentioned that there are alternative lands available within his constituency that could be used for the park.
