Gukesh Dommaraju shares favorite films including works by Suriya and Hrithik Roshan

World chess champion Gukesh Dommaraju has shared his favorite films in various languages. His picks include "Vaaranam Aayiram" in Tamil, "Geetha Govindam" in Telugu, "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" in Hindi, and "About Time" in English. Gukesh, who became the youngest world chess champion in 2024, previously watched many movies during the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that he was watching up to two films a day but has since reduced his viewing to about half an hour daily at home. Born in Chennai, Gukesh learned chess at age 7 and recently defeated Ding Liren to win the 2024 FIDE World Championship. He was honored by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin following his victory.
