Gulfstream G200 Galaxy stands out in mid-size private jet market
The Gulfstream G200 Galaxy, introduced in 1997, became a notable player in the super-midsize jet market. Originally developed by Israel Aerospace Industries, it was rebranded by Gulfstream after their acquisition in 2001, enhancing its appeal with improved support and service. The G200 features a spacious cabin, accommodating up to 10 passengers, and offers a maximum range of about 3,400 nautical miles. Its performance is supported by twin Pratt & Whitney engines, allowing for efficient long-haul flights and a cruising altitude above commercial air traffic. Production of the G200 ended in 2011, with over 250 units built. It was succeeded by the G280, which introduced advanced technology and improved efficiency. Despite newer models, the G200 remains valued for its comfort and reliability in business aviation.
