Gun discovered in employee's vehicle at North Allegheny

On Friday afternoon, a gun was discovered in a North Allegheny School District employee's vehicle. The district informed parents about the incident through an email. The McCandless police notified the school district’s police at around 1:16 p.m. However, the police and the district did not explain how they found out about the gun. The employee involved has not been named and has been placed on administrative leave. In the email, the district stated that this is a serious policy violation.
