Gunshots reported near woman's home in Kalamazoo County

A woman in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, reported gunshots fired at her home early on Tuesday, March 16. Fortunately, the 28-year-old was not injured in the incident. The sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene around 1:18 a.m. The woman had just returned home when she heard sounds from a wooded area on her property. After shining a light into the woods, several gunshots rang out. Although she was unharmed, some nearby vehicles sustained damage. Authorities found evidence related to the shooting at the scene. They believe the event was isolated and do not consider it a threat to the public. Police are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer. Other local police departments assisted with the investigation.
