Gwinnett County man receives life sentences for child molestation

A man from Gwinnett County has been sentenced to three life sentences for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl. Isaiah Esquilin-Perez, 22, was found guilty of multiple charges, including aggravated child molestation and incest. The crimes took place in April 2023 and before that. The district attorney stated that Esquilin-Perez's actions violated the trust of the victim’s family. The sentence aims to provide justice and support for the victim and her family. They hope for healing following this decision. The situation began when the victim’s parents discovered video footage of Esquilin-Perez involved in inappropriate behavior with their daughter. When they confronted him, he attempted to escape but later contacted the victim’s mother to apologize. He eventually turned himself in to the police after 18 hours.
