Gwyneth Paltrow returns to acting in "Marty Supreme."

Gwyneth Paltrow is returning to acting in a new film called Marty Supreme. This will be her first movie role in over ten years, not including her appearances in Marvel films. In an interview, Paltrow discussed her feelings about returning to the big screen. She highlighted that the last time she truly felt vulnerable in a role was in the 2010 film Country Strong. She emphasized that working on a project like Marty Supreme feels different from her past Marvel roles, noting, “It’s different when you’re reprising an Avengers thing.” Marty Supreme is co-written by Benny Safdie and Ronald Bronstein. The movie will also feature a cast that includes Penn Jillette, Odessa A’zion, and Kevin O’Leary, among others. Recent reports suggest the film may be loosely based on the life of ping-pong player Marty Reisman, and it has been described as a mix between Wolf of Wall Street and Catch Me If You Can. Benny Safdie, one of the film's directors, has previously worked on notable films like Good Time and Uncut Gems. While he is focused on this project, his brother Benny is also pursuing solo work on a different film with Dwayne Johnson.
