Hackers target MBA CET candidates for score bribes
Hackers have leaked personal information of candidates preparing for the MBA Common Entrance Test (CET) for 2025-26. They then contacted these individuals, promising to help them boost their scores for a fee. Reports say they asked for ₹10 to ₹20 lakhs to ensure admission into prestigious colleges. The police registered a case following a complaint from Abhishek Joshi, a project coordinator at Eduspark International Pvt Ltd. This organization oversees many admission tests, including the MBA CET. Three men from Delhi were arrested in connection with the incident. Multiple candidates reported receiving phone calls from unknown people who claimed they could secure them admission in top management schools. These included well-known institutes such as Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and Savitribai Phule Pune University’s management department. The issue was discovered when candidates sought help through a helpdesk provided by Eduspark to address difficulties with their applications. After all, the authorities were alerted, they took action. An inquiry was conducted, and the police were informed on March 13.
