Hadiqa Kiani and Mahrang Baloch recognized in BBC's 100 Women for 2024 list

The BBC has included two Pakistani women, Hadiqa Kiani and Mahrang Baloch, in its '100 Women for 2024' list. This list honors women who have made significant contributions amid global conflicts and crises. Hadiqa Kiani, a well-known singer and humanitarian, is recognized for her efforts following the 2022 floods in Pakistan. She has built homes for flood victims and advocated for displaced families through her Vaseela-e-Raah project. Mahrang Baloch, a medical doctor and political activist, is noted for her work on enforced disappearances in Balochistan. She led a 1,600-kilometer march to demand justice for missing persons and founded the Baloch Yakjehti Committee.
