Half of New Zealand users face switching issues
A recent study by the Commerce Commission has found that many mobile and broadband users face problems when switching telecom providers. The report reveals that half of mobile users and 45% of broadband users encountered at least one issue during the switching process. The commission expressed concerns about these findings and is urging telecommunications companies to make improvements. The study indicates that the frustrating experience is causing people to hesitate about switching providers in the future. Specifically, 29% of mobile users and 27% of broadband users said they would be reluctant to switch again. The commission conducted this study because of worries that low switching rates among consumers are limiting competition. Many customers are not taking advantage of better offers from competing providers, which can be concerning for the telecom market in New Zealand.
