Hamilton man indicted for firing gun at police
A Hamilton man, Lewis Ray Patterson, 25, has been indicted on multiple felony charges, including felonious assault, after allegedly firing a gun at police during a foot chase on February 27. The indictment was issued on March 6. During the pursuit, Patterson reportedly displayed and discharged a firearm at two officers. Video evidence captured the incident, showing a flash believed to be from the gun. A spent shell casing was found at the scene, and a handgun was later discovered nearby. Patterson was arraigned on March 16, with a bond set at $290,000. If released, he must wear a GPS monitor. A court hearing is scheduled for April 10.
