Hannah Onslow stars in BBC's "This City Is Ours."
Hannah Onslow is gaining recognition for her role in the BBC drama "This City Is Ours." The show features her alongside James Nelson-Joyce and tells a love story set in Liverpool. Onslow, 26, was born in 1998 and attended the BRIT School. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2019. Her first TV role was in "Call the Midwife," where she played a character named Connie Blair. Since then, she has appeared in several series including "Ridley Road" and "This Is Going to Hurt." In 2022, Onslow made her film debut in "Empire of Light," directed by Sam Mendes. She acted alongside well-known actors like Olivia Colman. Onslow has shared her admiration for her fellow cast members, calling the experience of working with them incredible. She also discussed her work in "This City Is Ours," mentioning the challenges she faced with mastering the Scouse accent. Onslow practiced extensively with a vocal coach and found inspiration by spending time in Liverpool, which she describes as an amazing city.
