Hargitay shares reunion photos with Meloni from SVU

Mariska Hargitay shared new photos with Christopher Meloni from the set of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" on March 19. This reunion marks their first time together in nearly two years. The pair enjoyed beautiful weather in New York City. Hargitay, who has played Olivia Benson since 1999, captioned her Instagram post, "Just leaving this here 👯‍♂️." The photos show Hargitay and Meloni walking arm in arm and sharing a warm moment. Meloni is known for his role as Elliot Stabler, which he started alongside Hargitay. He left "SVU" in 2011 but returned in 2021 for the spinoff "Law & Order: Organized Crime." Fans hope for a romantic storyline between their characters, especially since Stabler's wife has tragically died in the show. Even though Hargitay and Meloni haven’t shared a scene since 2023, Hargitay will soon appear in "Organized Crime." The second episode of the new season, written by Meloni, is expected to feature her. "Law & Order: Organized Crime" will premiere its fifth season with the first episode airing on NBC at 10 p.m. ET on April 17. The first two episodes will also be available on Peacock that day. In a previous interview, Hargitay praised Meloni's writing and their unique connection. She noted how their shared history allows them to understand each other deeply, making their time on screen together special.
