Haris Rauf ascends to 26th in ICC T20I rankings
Pakistan's cricket players have seen changes in the ICC T20I rankings after losing two games in a row to New Zealand. Former captain Babar Azam, who is not playing in the current series, has dropped from seventh to eighth place with 702 points. Mohammad Rizwan stays in ninth place, while Saim Ayub has fallen three spots to 62nd with 473 points. New Zealand players are moving up in the rankings due to their strong start in the series. They now lead 2-0. Tim Seifert has climbed 20 places to reach 13th after scoring 44 and 45 runs. Finn Allen is now in 18th place, up eight spots after scoring 29 not out and 38 runs. In the T20I batting rankings, Australia’s Travis Head leads, followed by India’s Abhishek Sharma and England’s Phil Salt. Meanwhile, Pakistan's bowlers have also faced shifts. Shaheen Afridi has dropped six spots to 29th with 575 points. Haris Rauf, after taking two wickets in the second match, climbs four spots to 26th with 586 points. Other Pakistani bowlers have struggled too. Abbas Afridi, who has not played in the series, has fallen to 44th, while Naseem Shah is now in 78th place. Vice-captain Shadab Khan has dropped 10 places to 82nd. On the New Zealand team, Jacob Duffy achieved a personal best, moving up 23 places to reach 12th after taking six wickets in the series. Akeal Hosein from the West Indies continues to lead the T20I bowlers' rankings, with India's Varun Chakaravarthy second and England's Adil Rashid third.
