Haris Rauf impresses with stunning catch against New Zealand
Haris Rauf made headlines with an exceptional catch during the third T20I match against New Zealand on Friday. Known for its occasional fielding struggles, Pakistan saw Rauf pull off a remarkable one-handed catch to dismiss New Zealand's opening batter, Fin Allen, early in the game. The impressive moment occurred when Shaheen Afridi bowled to Allen, who tried to hit the ball past the short fine leg. Rauf, diving to his right, caught the ball in an astonishing fashion. His stunned reaction showed that even he was surprised by the catch. In the same match, New Zealand's Mark Chapman had a remarkable performance, scoring 94 runs as his team posted a strong total of 204. Chapman dominated the innings, hitting 11 fours and four sixes off just 44 balls before he got out while attempting a slower ball from Afridi. Aside from Chapman, New Zealand's captain Michael Bracewell contributed 31 runs. The team faced challenges as most of their batsmen struggled, leading to their dismissal just before the final ball of the innings. Haris Rauf led Pakistan's bowling attack, claiming three wickets for 29 runs. His teammates, leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed and seamer Abbas Afridi, each took two wickets in their first match back after missing a previous game. New Zealand made one change to their lineup, bringing in Kyle Jamieson to replace Zak Foulkes.
