Harmony Korine's painting featured on Cannes' 2025 poster

Harmony Korine has designed the poster for the 2025 Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. His painting features two blurry faces in bright red and yellow, called “Twitchys.” Korine described these characters as playful and happy to be part of the festival. The Directors' Fortnight praised Korine's unique style, saying it sets the tone for the 57th edition of the event. Korine is known for his bold work in film, including “Spring Breakers.” His recent films, “Aggro Dr1ft” and “Baby Invasion,” were shown at the Venice Film Festival. Previously, Korine’s film “Mister Lonely” debuted at Cannes in 2008. He has expressed concern over the creativity in the film industry, noting that many talented filmmakers are moving towards gaming and streaming rather than traditional Hollywood.
